Bishop Brian Mcgee of the Diocese of Argyll & the Isles gives his words of encouragement

April 12, 2018

“The Good News of God’s love literally came to our diocese via the coast. One and a half thousand years ago our forefathers were blessed with the arrival of Irish missionaries spreading the joy of the Gospel. Christianity brought people hope and transformed society for the better. Iona is but one example of how once coastal communities embraced the Gospel values, they not only benefited themselves but they shared its riches with others. Today we need to rediscover a personal relationship with Christ. I highly commend that throughout our coastal diocese (and beyond) we gather at beaches, hills and churches on April 29th at 3pm to pray the Rosary and reflect on the treasures which God offers us.”
