Right Reverend Patrick Joseph McKinney Bishop of Nottingham send his prayers and good wishes to Rosary on the Coast

April 26, 2018

As a bishop of a diocese with a coastline I was keen to support the ‘Rosary on the Coast’ initiative. I asked Fr Andrew and the parishioners of Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Immingham to host our diocesan involvement in this enterprise of prayer and witness. This will take place on Sunday 29th April at Corpus Christi Church, Cleethorpes, leaving at 2.30pm to walk to the Pier Gardens to pray the rosary at 3pm.

I have encouraged as many as possible from across the diocese to gather there to pray, in solidarity with others elsewhere, for a strengthening of our Christian faith, a deepening of our understanding of the sacredness of human life, and a greater commitment to pray and work for peace throughout the world. I am unable to be present, but I pledge to pray the rosary at that time.

With prayers and good wishes,

Right Reverend Patrick McKinney

Bishop of Nottingham
